On September 27–28, 2025, Ovidius University of Constanța hosted the second edition of the Local Workshop during the European Week of Sport (#BeActive). The event highlighted two major outputs of the HIEP project: the digital training platform and the methodological manual for coaches, both designed to support professional development and modernize handball training across Europe.
The program featured a project overview, presentations of the coach’s manual and platform development, followed by interactive discussions and feedback sessions. These resources aim to provide coaches with practical tools and innovative methods to improve training quality and accessibility.
With 50 participants, including coaches and athletes, the workshop fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange. Feedback was highly positive, with attendees eager to explore the materials further and join future initiatives promoting handball as an inclusive team sport.
The HIEP project, funded under the Erasmus+ Sport framework, unites partners from Italy, Greece, Romania, and Belgium. Its core mission is to raise coaching standards, encourage active lifestyles with a strong focus on preventing childhood obesity, and ensure that sport becomes a space for social inclusion and equal opportunities for all.
